went for the 1st ti;me for my son’s b-day. did go to the new one on fairview & locust grove. very pleasant service. they gave us tons of time to prowl through the menu & did not make us feel bad for taking forever. that was awesome of the staff. we got 4 items the sushi appetizer sampler, north port & the #43 (i think)i forget the name & a california roll, . everything tasted very fresh & clean. it was very simplistic & did not wow me. i do not mind simplistic at all. it just did not blow me away. the pickled ginger was very good, the wasabi was good, did seem a darker color & a little dryer then i am used to, but tasted fine. i will not say anything was wrong or bad, because it wasn’t…there just wasn’t any thing to say wow about. price wasn’t bad.
Fujiyama’s is by far one of my favorite places to have sushi. It is always super fresh and I love being able to watch it being made at the bar. Although they can be a little slow at times, it is definitely worth the wait.
The food is good but hunker down for some of the slowest service you’ve ever experienced…and forget about when your drinks run dry…and this is twice now on slow nights. You might be better off flying to Japan.
