Good food terrible service. My husband and I recently went here. It was my first time and I was severely unimpressed. The wait staff was less than friendly and very slow even though it wasn’t incredibly busy. I felt like we had 3 or 4 different waiters and they took forever for our food and drink orders. The food was pretty tasty but not good enough to make up for the poor service.
Look people. If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine…you could do better. The food is passable…its just OK (but the pork burrito especial is AWESOME). But the service is topical notch. The drinks margaritas are strong. The place is clean. The location is central. You really can’t ask for a whole lot more. I will go back for sure…but not for the food. Ill go back because they made me feel welcome and important.
Becoming One of My Favorites…. First time we went to Jalapeos was shortly after the Boise location on Franklin was opened, although now I can’t recall first experience Jalapeos is one of my favorites. It’s a little out of our way but we’ve been there for dinner and lunch many time since now. In our experiences we’ve always had excellent service, the food my wife and I have ordered was always very good. For the most part my wife & I sit in the bar area but have been seated in the restaurant area with the service being great in either.
So delicious! Great service, great lunch specials, and delicious mexican food! It’s locally owned and it shows in the variety of foods on the menu and the great service. I keep coming back!
