Love it! Our family won’t go any where else for sushi! Try the Red Flower!
Best Kept Sushi Secret in Town. You won’t stumble across, or even go searching for a better Sushi Destination in town! The staff is phenomenal and the Sushi is fresh, flavorful and original. Vic ( I hope I’m spelling it right) created the best dining experience, was quick to offer his expertise and was light! His service went above and beyond. Steven created the most wonderful Sushi, and each roll that was brought out couldn’t compare to the last in a way any more than that they were all great! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and an awesome experience!
Below average. My wife and I visited for lunch and were sorely disappointed. The rolls were falling apart to the touch making it very hard to dip them in the soy sauce without leaving half the roll in the dish. The place is an echo chamber and a very rude group with a young child were making a lot of noise. The prices are high considering the quality which is only ‘ok’.The service was terrible. Two people seemed to be working, a chef and a server. When we walked in the chef had to help because the server wasn’t around. Very odd considering they are only open for a couple hours for lunch, he shouldnt have been on a break or anything. The chef was very unhelpful, didnt ask if we wanted drinks, didnt stick around to answer any questions. Nothing, just dropped a menu on the table and walked away. After a while the server came out, he was very nice and friendly but the damage was already done. Between the noise and the initial bad experience my wife was annoyed and not wanting to stay. We stuck it out though and asked to be seated outside because the child with the group next to us was out of control and the parents had no interest in doing anything about it.The table outside was so filthy that I had to brush the dirt off my clothes when I got up. Luckily it was a nice day outside so we were able to enjoy the sun a little.I don’t recommend Maru. You can get much better service elsewhere and the food, while not bad tasting just isn’t up to the prices they are charging. I’ve had tighter rolls from the grocery store deli section.
Out of this world. The best sushi I have ever had. The barbecue eel was unbelievable. The service was absolutely excellent. Don’t miss this one if you love sushi!
Best Sushi in Boise!. This is literally the best sushi I’ve ever had. Mike’s Roll is fantastic, designed by the sushi chef himself. If you love great sushi at a fair price, this is the place for you. No gimmicks, no fluff, just great sushi and great service. You won’t be disappointed. And don’t let the lack of customers fool you, you’re in for the sushi of your life, besides, no other customers means you get preferred service!
Amazing food! We had the spicy tuna, 911, and red flower rolls and they were delicious. The kids got the teriyaki chicken kids meal and it came with tempura veggies and dumplings that were tasty as well. Waitress was amazing. This is my new sushi spot for sure!
A-mazin! On the recommendation of our waiter, we ordered the 911 and Red Flower rolls. Best rolls we have EVER had!!! I may go back for supper :)Honestly, take the time and drive over here- so good! We would’ve taken pictures but it was already gone….
