I do not know if this was simply a mistake, stuff happens and I know your kitchen gets busy. i hope it’s not a part of your business ethic to intentionally sell preished raw seafood but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to an easily reputable mistake.My overall opinion. You did not meet your standard and its a disappointment because I loved you guys.I want to be able to trust you again. Your prices are great but not to the extent that I would overlook the issue at hand.Octopus is not that pungent unless it has perished. the texture was dry and fiberous instead chewy with a delicate flavor. If you know the way frozen or even fresh raw Tako tastes then you know when it’s gone bad.The kitchen manager should have noticed, the cooks ought to have caught on if the managers were having an off day. quality control was absent. I didn’t want to take another bite of any of your once enjoyable food after that experience.I paid the all you can eat wasting food fee and left disappointed. I was tempted to argue the fairness of charging me to throw away spoiled meat but I don’t want a refund or money. I want your commitment to improving quality control so you at least meet your own standard. My advice. Educate your kitchen manager, cooks and servers on what is acceptable to serve people so you can stay in business and out of bankruptcy

The first time I went in they treated my like a college student and talked down to me like I was going to eat them out of house and home for their all you can eat sushi. The second time they wouldn’t let me sit where I wanted even though the restaurant was half empty.

    Consistently good.. We have visited Sushi Ya on multiple occasions, and have never been turned away, treated badly, or felt that service was too slow. (beyond reason) Last night was no exception- excellent service, generous portions (appropriate for the amount of rice on an all you can eat, too…) and very friendly servers and chefs. If you are looking for a good deal on a large quantity of fresh sushi- this $18.95 deal is hard to beat.

    Incredibly slow service and not friendly servers. We did al a cart and were there alomst 2 hours. For 3 rolls and 4 pieces of nigiri that is way too long. Especially on a Monday night. Fish was fresh but rolls were just so so. There are better and faster places in town. Skip this one.

    Best sushi in Boise! And a great value. All you can eat lunch: $14 & $18 for dinner. Try it! You’ll love it

    Love It….. Been here many times… Obviously we are in Idaho and dont have access to the freshest of fish but I am pleased with Sushi Ya. The service there is always very freindly.
