Mediocre at best. Over priced for a simple sandwich/salad shop. One piece of bread is so hard/crispy I can barely bite it, and the other piece is totally soft. Odd. Friend feels ill after supposed gluten free salad. Nice patio, although it’s not enough to bring me back.

I grew up in Eagle, so I was excited to introduce my husband to Blue Moose. I left incredibly embarrassed. There was a sign outside advertising Happy Hour, when I asked the staff about it, they cut me off and said there was no happy hour. (I checked the sign after we left, I was right) There was a new girl training and she was very nice, but the other gal was a total jerk. The food came out awful. The fresh ingredients had been replaced with canned chiles, brown wilted lettuce, and microwaved instead of grilled. The portions were the size of a lunchable for 10+ dollars. Run don’t walk from Blue Moose.

Maytag Salad. If you want to taste the best salad in the world you must go to the Blue Moose Cafe and try the Maytag salad with chicken the best I have ever had. Great french bread as well.

Friday Night Music. Every Friday night the Blue Moose has live folk and/or blue grass music. They only offer one entree, which they serve an hour after the band starts. The night we went, they served meatloaf, salad, and mashed potatoes. Be sure to reserve a table, because they fill up fast; they will also let you know what is on the menu for Friday when you call.
