We came here on the recommendation of a coworker on a night we didn’t want to cook mid week. Our server was very soft spoken and I heard her tell someone it was really busy when less than half the tables were full. We ordered and someone else had to bring us beer so we are guessing our server was under 19. My husband ordered the fried green beans and when they came out they were identical to those at TGIfridays. Sadly, Fridays are better and we almost never eat at chain restaurants like that for a reason. Our main dishes came out in a timely manner but the food and presentation was very average. Definitely not what I was expecting when I saw the prices, which for this area are on the higher end of moderate. We likely won’t be back. It’s not worth the price. Most people in the restaurant were elderly, so maybe they like bland Asian food. That’s fine, we will leave it for em.

Very Good. I have now been here 3 times and although I have been told about how bad the service is I have never had any problems. I have yet to find a dish that I didnt like.

Nice place, good food!. Our first time at the Rice so we went early (5:30) to make sure service was good, and it was. Greeter very friendly, seated us promptly. We were only couple at a table, so waitress came over and suggested the Green Noodles with chicken and shrimp so we ordered that plus the spring rolls. The rolls came promptly, very good and so far the best we have had in Boise after looking for the past two years. The dish was just the right size for two light eating seniors, and very tasty, four shrimp and lots of small pieces of chicken breast in a delicious sauce, more Thai than Chinese. We will certainly go back, have been searching for a good Asian food place for a couple of years. Don’t know what problem was with others, but the service was excellent and couldn’t have been any better.. Rate 4 out of 5 stars. Menus are new, professional with lots of choices, maybe too many.

So far every experience has been great. I do feel bad for those that had bad experiences with the service but I have not seen anyone have these issues when I have dined there, at least six times and at various times of the day. I do not know if these are isolated but I have had good service. The food – oh yes. I have not diverted from the curry section of the menu but their curries are very good. I would put their curries on the sweeter side but they have always paired well with the savory protein portion of the dishes that I have had. I have had everything from tofu to salmon and enjoyed them all. The salmon pineapple curry was a very nice meal. Make sure to order extra rice as you would not want to let any of the liquid gold go to waste. The other people that I have dined with ordered things like their teriyaki dishes, pad thai, and fried rice. Those other dishes were enjoyed and so far, everyone that I have taken there would go back.I must say that the fried rice was something that I had not ordered because of the pricing. Being spoiled by stereotypical chinese restaurant pricing of $6 for a quart kind of put me off to their double that pricing. I had some from my mother’s plate and it is well worth entree level pricing. You will get veggies in there that are not normally in the standard fried rice. Huge pieces of bbq pork (mom’s protein choice) not those bits and pieces that you are used to but whole chunks like what come with pork and seeds. Great seasoning and their woks really add a flavor that I have not tasted in other fried rices. Ignore entree pricing at get the rice. My head was stuck in the wrong mode. It is like I was comparing a McDonalds McRib to real bbq ribs and thinking that the McD’s is cheaper. Well, little thing called quality. Quality of their rice is well worth it.Dessert – eh. They are between ok to good depending on the mood you are in. Appetizers are all awesome thus far. I would put their cream cheese wontons over any (rangoons at some places) that I have had yet and there are some great ones out there to compete against.Since I have been the driver every visit I had not had the pleasure of ordering anything from the bar. Someday…..someday.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. They had 6 servers on the deck alone and still managed to take 45 minutes to get HALF of our order out and never brought out the other entrees. However, they still charged us for the food we never received. Serving staff is rude, owner is unprofessional, and food is mediocre. Will not be returning.

Good (not outstanding, but good) food; awful service. Count on being there at least 2 hours. Appetizers will come with or after entrees. Drink orders will be lost. And then servers will disappear altogether. And the place won’t even be busy. I’ve been here a few times and hoped for improvement. Too bad — Eagle really needed a good Asian restaurant.
