Canton is my favorite go-to Chinese restaurant. Their prices are very reasonable for the large portion sizes. It’s very filling and always plenty enough for leftovers. The staff is always friendly with us and our order comes out quickly and hot. I absolutely love their sweet & sour chicken and fried rice, as well as the pork and seeds. The atmosphere is a little dated, but I personally love the artwork they have decorating the space. I really wish they delivered, but the take out orders are speedy so we don’t mind driving to pick it up and bring it home.

I’ve tried over half the menu and each meal is kind of food you don’t want to stop eating but you have to or you’ll explode. Delicious, but not authentic. It is definitely Americanized recipes, but they did a really good job. The portions are very large and a good value. One dinner entree can easily feed two people. The restaurant is a little dated and could use some deep cleaning / makeover.
Terribly disappointed. We have been ordering from the Canton for several years and this last time, had issues with an incorrect order and the amount charged. When we called to let them know and tell them that we were disappointed, they continually told me how wrong I was, argued with me, hung up on me (to which I immediately called back) and told me to bring back the food and they would replace it. I told them had a large group to feed and couldn’t come back and were eating the food. They then told me they weren’t going to do anything about my concerns. And were demeaning and rude. I then told them that I would write a review about my experience, and she told me that they didn’t care. Lots of attitude. We won’t be going back again. They have lost our business.
Lunch. Food was served quickly by a friendly waitress. Our main meal was barely warm and it was not freshly cooked. It had been sitting in the kitchen waiting for someone to order it. I did complain to the waitress and nothing was done. To bad because I used to lOve this restaurant.
Great for the Price. Often rated the number one lunch spot under $5.The food is good and service is nice. There are more expensive and possibly better Chinese options in town, but everyone seems to come back here for their personal favorite item. The Hong Kong and New Hong Kong have the same menus and recipes.
Awesome food, mediocre service. They don’t take credit cards, but the sweet & sour chicken w/ fried rice makes the inconvenience worth it. Our friends from out of town request Canton every time they visit. The pork n seeds appetizer is unique and I haven’t found it anywhere else– I order enough for plenty of leftovers & eat them cold later. Nasty hole-in-the-wall ambiance with the best food around.
