Really enjoyed the spicy shrimp and chicken dish. Second time we went the dish was literally twice as small as first time around. Place was extremely noisy which made it hard to enjoy. Good news is my wife now makes the shrimp dish even better than Carinos. Won’t be back.

This is our first time having lunch at Johnny C’s; always have had dinners there. So, this review is for their Pronto Combo Lunch menu, of which we had three different ones:Mine was Spicy Shrimp and Chicken (Penne sauted with shrimp, sliced chicken, cayenne pepper romano cream sauce, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and green onions) — While the flavours were decent, and there was a bit of heat as promised in the name of the dish, I found it too cloying, too oily, and couldn’t finish the dish.Fortunately, the minestrone (you can choose either a soup or a side salad) that came with it was much better; flavourful and hearty, and saved the meal for me. As did the piping hot endless bread which was crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. However, the olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip for the bread was a disappointment compared to what we have had a couple of years ago, which I used to really love. There was very little balsamic vinegar this time around.Hubby had the Grilled Chicken Bowtie Festival (Bowtie sauted with sliced chicken, bacon, garlic, red onions, roma tomatoes, asiago and cream sauce). He thought it was very good, consistent with what he had had before in the past. But the green salad was rather limp and soggy. Our friend created his own pasta from the Create Your Own Pasta selection (choose from spaghetti, angel hair, penne, fettuccine or bowtie. served with choice of tomato, spicy marinara, meat sauce or alfredo sauce.Add Chicken, Sausage Or Meatballs For $2.00). I didn’t ask him how he liked it, but he had chosen the restaurant, and he finished all his food, so I guess that’s a positive sign. :)Each of our meals cost just $8.99.

I used to love this place. now it is just way overpriced, and not as good. unlike Olive Garden, the salad is way overdressed and the Gluten-free menu doesnt have that many options besides soups and salads. after searching for resteraunts that are able to make gluten free, i will not be coming back here.

Love It!!!. I’m an east coaster and wish we had one there. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly. Everything comes out perfect. I also love the fact that they have half orders because sometimes there is just too much food plus it gives you a chance to try a little of more.

Disappointing!. Bread and herbed olive oil delicious….would have been a great meal if I had stopped right there. Soup was terrible, both tasteless and super salty–ugh! I won’t go there again.

I’d rather be at Olive Garden. Tried this place twice now and not impressed with either visit. On the good sice, their bread with herbed olive oil is a nice change of pace. but the food itself is mediocre at best. My daughter got spaghetti and found it too hot (spicy) and would not even finish it. I had alfredo and it tasted like a packaged mix..not impressed. For this price range, I’d much rather be at OG.
