Love it. Good prices. Great selection. Best house salad dressing ever
Excellent sushi and restaurant foods, but quite pricey.
Salty, small, overpriced old fish!! I am serious when I say this was old. Even the waiter said she uses old fish. It was green yellowtail tuna!! Stay away
Lunch visit. Place was empty server was attentive but kitchen a bit slow. Taste of food was very good. Sushi rice was decent not the best but above average. Loved the cherry blossom roll. We shared the Asian salmon salad fantastic. Salmon great flavor and spot on cooking. Other than a bit of wait for kitchen great visit
A very pleasant experience.. Having resided in the U.K. for several years and in that time having only two experiences with sushi..one wonderful evening in London and a woeful experience in Manchester, I was ready to try what Idaho Falls had to offer.Wasabi was our first choice as they are the only restaurant in Idaho Falls to offer Sukiyaki, one of my husband’s passions. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and requested a table in the sushi bar area. Both of us noted the pleasant interior design and the sushi area was not an exception. Our waiter was superb, attentive without being cloying. A nice array of Sake offerings was presented. I chose an unfiltered warm Sake that was wonderful. My husband opted for Kirin. The Sukiyaki was wonderful. My husband, who has spent quite a bit of time in Japan, was pleased as can be. My Sushi was fine though the true winner was a simple salmon skin roll…perfect. This restaurant knows how to properly prepare their sushi rice. If one is looking for fast food sushi this is probably not your cup of tea. If you wish to be indulged with the small details being taken care of, i.e. frosted glasses, edamae served in warm bowls, etc., and savor your dining experience I could recommend Wasabi. Negatives: No warm washcloths provided prior to Sushi and too long of a wait for our check to be taken care of. The latter, as it can color an entire dining experience, particularly surprised me.
Some servers may not be the typical Idahoan’s idea of smiley-friendly, but I’ve found them to be very helpful and more knowledgeable about the food than many nearby places. I tend to ask for recommendations between plates I’m considering, and they’ve steered me well. The appetizers I’ve had have been really good, and a couple of the best sushi rolls I’ve had were here, one of which was an off-the-menu item they suggested when I asked for recommendations. It had a fun name: ask about it. I like that the shared menu with Whitewater Grill means a wide variety of options, too.
Sushi: boring and bland. Service: not helpful or friendly. Overall: disappointing. I will keep going to Blue Hashi, thanks.
