I S. Jakers is such a favorite of mine, where do I start? First off, they have such a great array of delicious meal options. If you’re in the mood to get dressed up and enjoy a fine dinner, Jaker’s is perfect. If you want a great sandwich while you watch the game, give Jaker’s a try. If you want to enjoy a fantastic unlimited soup and salad bar, I can’t think of a better place than Jaker’s. If you want a great drink in a comfortable setting, once again I think of Jaker’s. And if you want a great Sunday brunch that isn’t just the typical faire, you guessed it….Jaker’s! I enjoy having a business lunch or a family dinner at Jaker’s any chance I get. It is one of Boise’s real gems, I cannot recommend it more highly!
A great dining experience, you won’t be disappointed!!. My wife and I were at Jaker’s just a few days ago and I must say, it was probably one of the better dinners we’ve ever had in the Boise area! Our server’s name was Matt, and he did a great job in being very attentive to our needs all evening. And he made sure that our drinks were filled and that we had plenty of delicious scones with honey butter!I ordered the finger steaks, and they were very tender, juicy with a tasty coating. Quite possibly the best I’ve ever had in this area! And Jaker’s uses a unique process to cook their French fries as they don’t taste starchy. And the lobster bisque soup was just out of this world! And my wife said that her broiled trout was excellent and fresh. And she said that her baked potato and dinner salad were very good as well. Next time we go we’ll have to try one of their desserts as there are quite a few to chose from. Years ago I did know the owner of Jaker’s, Jake Jones, when he lived in Pocatello and ran the old Jake’s restaurants. And I must say, he definitely knows his stuff when it comes to running a fine dining establishment as he’s been at it for quite some time. And the price for meals here are very reasonable!
Best Meal Yet!. Another great dining experience at Jaker’s. We sat in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by the very fun and entertaining Jenny…she interacted with the staff and customers so much that everyone was having a good time! Our drinks were made perfectly, the lobster bisque amazing and the salads full of fresh ingredients. Our steaks were served sizzling on the plate and cooked to perfection. Between the soup/salad/scones/entrees, we never seem to have room for dessert, but one of these days we will have to try them, as they all look so good.22 Apr, 2014Great Dining Experience from Start to Finish. What a fabulous meal! The pineapple fusion martini was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the night. We chose the steak bites as an appetizer, which I cannot recommend highly enough (the garlic teriyaki sauce is amazing), followed by their fresh scones and soup (baked potato…but they have several choices every night) and salad (strawberry…but again, many choices!) and then a kobe steak for my husband and chicken a’ la Jakers for me (lightly breaded chicken topped with asparagus, crab and bernaise sauce). Everything was to die for.Everyone on staff was friendly and efficient and made for a most enjoyable evening. Can’t wait to return!
I Love Happy Hour. Wow, what can I say, another amazing meal at Jaker’s! Happy Hour is the time to go…great appetizers at a wonderful price…..we had the calamari and goronzola fries for less than $10…..then the French Onion soup….. to die for…..in typical fashion the main course was very good, the some Dude’s burger is my favorite. I love being able to count on Jaker’s for consistent quality and a great price with great service to boot!11 Apr, 2014The scones are the bomb!. I had lunch at Jaker’s last week and it was amazing. The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and the food was very good. The scones with honey butter were incredible, in fact I could have eaten just the scones, but then I would have missed out on the delicious strawberry chicken salad. If you are looking for a good value and a great lunch experience, you can’t beat Jaker’s.
A wonderful dining experience. We had dinner in the Bar Top on a Sunday evening. It was a wonderful experience! The bar area was softly lit and quiet, which is a rarity in most restaurants. I ordered the fish and chips. They were impressive with four large fillets on top of what appeared to be fresh cut fries. The fillets were lightly battered and nicely moist inside. I would definitely order them again. The salad bar had a nice variety of fresh salads and shrimp. The best part of the meal though was Jakers amazing lobster bisque! So rich and delicious! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy – just the right tone for a lazy Sunday evening!
Awesome place!. Jaker’s Bar and Grill can present you an outstanding prime rib of beef served with au jus and horseradish sauce. It is so tender you can cut it with your fork. The one I had was complemented with seasoned mashed potatoes, a delightful, crisp Caesar salad and, of course, warm scones with honey butter. It was excellent! As was the classic martini which was perfectly blended and served in a good sized glass. My guest said that the lobster bisque could have been a meal in itself but she also enjoyed the Petrale sole with a light sauce. The restaurant is fun, has both dining and bar seating, four big screen TVs at the bar and the service is superb. Best of all, the price is right. You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent food, great service and a terrific atmosphere.. I recently visited Jakers and enjoyed an excellent meal. The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere and is attractively decorated. The hard-working wait staff give diners a top-notch experience. The food both my guest and I ordered was delicious, served hot and was prepared exactly like we had requested. I noticed plates that were delivered to nearby tables and everything looked terrific. There are numerous items I look forward to trying on future visits.Every staff member that we encountered greeted us and made us feel like valued customers. We were welcomed as soon as we entered the building and sincerely thanked for coming in as we left.I will definitely be back soon to try items like the fish & chips, finger steaks, prime rib and the bountiful salad bar. I can’t wait.
