Blah. I took my daughter for breakfast based on reviews. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Based on the wait and prices, I was expecting something wonderful. I ordered the huckleberry packcakes with eggs and bacon, and my daughter ordered the strawberry waffle and ham steak. The strawberry waffle was the same strawberry waffle you get everywhere, frozen strawberries, and gross whip cream out of the can. The ham was thick, wet and luke warm. As for my meal, I ordered my eggs over medium. I like the yolk thick and the white solid. The eggs were cool and over easy, barely, the whites were runny. The huckleberry pancakes had a weird texture that I can only describe as rubbery. I could press my folk all the way to the plate and they would sping back, uncut. I could see huckleberries but not taste them. Including drinks, that was around 30 bucks. On the bright side, the service was great.
We like the food and location! Could work on warm friendly feeling, coffee, and substitutions. Saying no subs takes this place off our top picks for breakfast! Something to think about
Great place, good food!. We really liked Steve’s Cafe, great food and service, not too long of a wait, and the food is brought out in a reasonable time even when busy for breakfasts. Been twice, will return again and again!
Was hesitant to try this place as I am the most selective eater of all times. I don’t eat out much in Boise as the food is not of the best quality. I have traveled a lot as well and have been to great food spots so I can say this place was amazing for me!!! I had the omlette,pancakes, berry pancakes, and the French toast-of course at different times..All I can say is best Bfast ever!!!! Clean place, quality food with great taste and so easy to get in and out. Can’t speak for the weekends with crowds but during the week is perfect. Bfast all day and I can truly say best Bfast spot I’ve EVER eaten at!!! Also, for those who say this place is pricey…far from it! In this day and age all things cost $$$ but this place is very reasonable compared to the terrible griddle restaurant which i can really say is overpriced for lousy food!!! I have never written a review on food spots, so this says a lot! Support this great food spot!!!
Food was good but coffee was like drinking hot water (very weak). The wait staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back but I would take some Starbucks instant coffee with me.
Long wait if you go on a Sunday for brunch. Well worth it, though. Had the stuffed jalapeos and it was amazing. The service was good too. Would go back.
Breakfast. Great place. Very comfortable.Not too small of a place. The Huckleberry stuffed French Toast was AWESOME!!. Next time i am down again this is a definite must go meal.
