Ive been a manager in service industry for over 15 years, and this is now the example I will use on how not to treat customers. We waited for over an hour to get our drinks on Sunday while others in our group had two drinks served to them! They were extremely busy, however a Bloody Mary shouldnt take more than ten minutes to serve. We asked the bar tender to send a manager to our table, and the manager never bothered to show!We just wrote this restaurant off as a waste of both time and money. Save yourself both and go elsewhere.
Seriously?!!?. Okay, so the restaurant decor and staff are pretty cool and trendy, but thats where it stops. The actual service is average at best, and the food is completely over priced for what you actually get! The lack of food quality for the price is astounding and frankly Mr. Berryhill, you should really re-think this whole concept and stop serving cafeteria quality food for the prices you insist on charging… Microwaved, luke warm, liquid egg Quiche, really?! $1.95 for 1 piece of bacon? The quality of all your establishments has gone drastically downhill and the prices, uphill since the 8th street & Broadway days. Too bad!
How hard is it to make an egg to order?. I was totally disappointed with almost everything about Bacon. The space is nice and that is about it. Basically, for $10 I would like my food cooked to order. The bacon was decent, aside from being cold. The potatoes were undercooked and cold. My friend got the BLT, which for $8 I felt should have come with some sort of side. Boo to Bacon.
The service was helpful, the food was good! I won’t say they’re the best, but they are better than most other reviews would have you believe. If you appreciate novelty, like I do, you’ll like this place. Pretty simple if you’re thinking about going, do it, stop wondering!
Round 2. First time I went to Bacon, table was wobbly, not much energy, food was just — ok. So, gave it a second shot and realized should have gone by first impression. Food did not come out all at one time, staff had to walk around to find our number and I think that it would be better to just call out the number of the order that is up, that way the food is not walking around the restaurant getting colder and exposed to germs! Coffee cups are too big, which results in the heat being absorbed in the ceramic vs the liquid. Food all over the floor, wobbly table again. And the quiche was rubber, liquid egg, what happened to the farm to table concept. Are you going Sysco to table? Actually, I should have known that it was not good since the person next to us only took one bite and left it on the table. Going out is a treat, customer service, is a must and if I were to give Bacon a rating of 1-5, not sure if it would rank a 1 at this point.
Bacon, it makes everything better!. These reviewers have got it all wrong! This place is awesome! Awesome bacon, awesome coffee, awesome food, awesome baked goods!!! Awesome, awesome, awesome, AWESOME!!! Their pastries are phenomenal and made from scratch iby their own baker every morning. They give you a little teaser sample of the bacon scone when you order your latte, but don’t worry, they sell the full-sized version. I haven’t tried them, but they have amazingly decadent looking cakes in their case, too. Last week I had an apple cheesecake bar that was off the hook, but it’s not a full-time offering, they rotate most of the baked goods, with a few regular stand-bys. What do people mean overpriced? A huge muffin is $2!! They also have day olds, which are still fantastic and less than a buck. I love the staff, they’re friendly, fast, and their recommendations are always spot-on!
