Good food, nice patio, comfortable atmosphere. I definitely enjoyed my visit. Would go again, I think I would enjoy going back at night when everything is all lit up.
Always have the yummiest food here and the service is always great! They have an awesome happy hour but food is always fair priced during regular hours. Just a nice, great, locally inspired place that is always delicious! They have awesome drinks here too!
Dinner great- but loud!. We enjoyed the Salmon dinners, good options for sides- and once the crowd cleared out we could actually hear ourselves think! Perhaps some buffers in the ceiling might help…..? The old building does have charm… wish we could have been outside.Plan to use the bathroom elsewhere- not always in great shape and desperately needing a remodel, or a good cleaning!
I really wanted to like this place.. I went here three times so you can certainly say that I tried. My latest I had the 12oz New York with the cherry tomatoes and it was about as good as a chain restaurant. The steak was mostly fat and so so in the flavor department. The tomatoes were weird sweet and they forgot the side that I also wanted. When I did get it the veggies were really hard. The waitress was not that great. overall I would say try something else I would give them about a 4.
Good place, but very loud accoustically!. This place has pretty good food and the prices are decent, but do NOT go here if you want to have a conversation with someone, such as on a date, because, as cool as the atmosphere is (in an historic building), it creates a VERY loud atmosphere. Otherwise, their patio is a great place to enjoy a great drink and a yummy meal!
I tried to like this place..but I’ve had the worst service every time i have been here. it takes forever…i waited 25 minutes for a coffee once..and my food is never anything special. sorry to say i cannot recommend
Bardenay’s – Coeur d’Alene. Three friends ate at Bardenay in CDA, yesterday, Sunday 01/26 at 12:00 PM. Out of 3 meals, all three had problems. The French toast was overcooked as with the chorizo sausage, my omelet was stuck to the sides (overheated) of the plate and friends poached egg was runny and not cooked. I have always liked Bardenay’s, but the last two times have been disappointing. Do you have a new chef? Not enough personnel to bring the food to table so it’s not overcooked or heated under a heat lamp? Once before the special chicken salad sandwiches two of us had was dry and not edible. We need to get our confidence back!!
