Three out of four times I’ve been there I have received horrible service. No eye contact, over charged, very slow and incompetent service. I’m NOT happy and will not return.
Sad. This place used to be so great. Fantastic Scotch wall and the food was awesome. Piper set he bar for service as well. I have been a few time recently and the food was not in the same ballpark as it used to be and the service was terrible. Was beyond poor and I will not be back any time soon!
Meh!. So we both had bangers and mash. It took forever!! What did we get? What seemed to be an undercooked whole potato kinda smashed into huges chunks with no flavor EXCEPT a TON of salt!! The banger….dried out, okay flavor and small. It was a BORING dish and has no connection to traditional bangers and mash. And then there was the waitress wearing so much perfume I could not eat or drink my water for a couple of minutes each time she passed by or came to the table. Nasty! So,,,I recommend a pass on this place. Maybe they have something good?? I know I saw that they sell a double 9 oz patty burger. OMG!!! 18 oz burger. That is SO sick!!! Where do these people come from that want to sell something like that? YUK!
Went for lunch midweek. Had Zinfandel Mushroom soup and a grilled cheese with Blue Cheese Chips to start. All the food was great and the service was prompt. Highly recommend.
You have to be drinking (a lot!) if you think the food is good…and the service is as slow as molasses. Brought the family for a birthday meal and it was probably the worst meal I’ve had in 10 years. There was brown water in my bowl when I finished my salad. . Disgusting. Go for a beer or a shot but stay away if you are looking for a good, quick meal.
Great Experience!. Food was very good and the portions were quite large. We tried a roll-up and burger with fries on the side and they were great! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere very pleasant. We sat on the balcony overlooking downtown and it was a nice experience. A must try!
Go Irish and Run to the Piper Pub & Grill for the Irish special now, like really now, only 1 day left. We had the most amazing Irish meal ever, ever, and that is not coming from some local whitebread Boise folk, but real east coast Irish fed ethnic people displaced in Boise for some sad years. The corned beef, potato and cabbage/carrot meal sounds well, bllahh and boooring right? Well heck no, now you get to see what it is really supposed to taste like!! WOW!! We (my husband and I) each had the special Irish dinner, corned beef (like half a pound of real meat) which came with about 6 giant red potatoes, cabbage and carrots, and before you go yuck, if I had been blindfolded I would have preferred it to Chandlers. The flavors! Oh! We called for the chef! The chef came out, in a black t shirt, covered in food, happy as a clam, he came out and first off right off said, I LOVE FOOD. We applauded him. His name is Belvin Webb, and he is the best chef in Boise, barr none. He told us he marinated the food 3 separate courses of marination in Guiness. The seasonings were perfection!! You cannot miss this once a year special going on at the Piper Pub & Grill through tomorrow only for St Patricks Day. I had a shot of finest Irish Whiskey and a glass of guiness beer and 2 meals so big we took enough home for my hubby to take to work tomorrow for lunch all for 25 dollars!!!!!!! Arrest me for being a thief, this was the best meal I had in Boise for over 2 years!! I can’t wait to go back tomorrow!! (Drink specials on Irish brews made it also lower priced, Guiness and the Irish whiskey)
