  Sorry, not sorry. We have been here a few times, each one differing from the next. Tonight was the worst yet. We told the kind door person that we would take our wait outside accompanied by drinks as the wait was anticipated to be 15 minutes or so. Unfortunately, we waited forty-five minutes in the cold only to see many other people that showed up after us be seated before us. Additionally, everyone sitting outside with us seemed to experience the same and were only sat after complaining. Therefore, visit this restaurant midday on a weekday if you expect to get any type of service.

  No Southern hospitality here. Open table had tons of times so we showed up with no reservation. The hostess let us know we’d need to wait 10 minutes or so, which was fine. We hung out, but were never offered cocktails like the couple seated next to us. A different hostess came around after the other 2 couples had been seated to ask if we had reservations. We explained we didn’t think we needed them given the abundance of seating per Open Table. She said they were suddenly all booked up and it was now not likely they’d have any seats for us. We were essentially asked to move on.

  Delicious!. Beautiful food, and a very well balanced menu with dishes to please everyone who likes great food. The Hamburger Helper dish is unbelievable. I love this place!

  First time there one of our dinners was burnt so we had to wait extra long for dinner. Pulled pork was dry, folks next to us complained of the same. 2nd time there we called ahead w/reservation. When we arrived they seemed to have lost the res. party of 4 waited for 20 mins for a table that only had 3 chairs. Food was pretty good. Wish we could have heard conversation but atmosphere was very loud. Probably won’t go back.

  Saint Lawrence Gridiron is a great addition to the food scene in Boise. Everything at lunch today was delicious, the location is great, the ambiance has character, and the blue brisket sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches in Boise.

  A Devine Dish. I headed into St. Lawrence Gridiron for lunch today after being informed that Shrimp & Grits is now on the menu. I was pleasantly suprised as this was not an option during my first venture there. In short, their version of this coastal classic is insanely good. I say that as someone who spent two years in Charleston, South Carolina, searching for the Holy City’s best version of this dish. St. Lawrence’s rendition is nothing short of spectacular. The flavors are well balanced with a hint of smoke and light citrus that ties all of the ingredients together. The grits were cooked to perfection and served as the perfect stage for the grilled shrimp. And the tomato gravy, oh my goodness, I want to know their secret. It was devine. Overall, I’d say this was the best dish I’ve eaten in Boise thus far (I’ve been here for a year), and Lord willing, I’m sure I’ll be eating it again soon. (:
