Boise Best. For a truly delicious organic meal this is the place to go. The menu is small but so is the kitchen and restaurant. Every item I have ever eaten here, I have eaten through the changing menu many times, has been good. The drinks are stellar as well! If you only have a chance to eat at one place in Boise this is the place to go.
Great atmosphere in a cool location.. The cocktails are incredible- and with happy hour specials until 7pm weekdays- this converted travelodge is worth the visit! Appetizers and a small but creative menu of dinner offerings all feature locally sourced and unique options.
Best cocktails this side of Portland. Had a Black Manhattan and it was perfect. Relaxing fun spot to stay nibble and imbibe.
Driving up to the modern my husband was making faces. obviously it was a strip mall motel at one time. pressing on we were delighted with the food, drink and service. I had the sturgeon which was properly cooked and seasoned. my husband had the lamb chops. they were also quite good albeit a bit small on the cut
Best little gem in town!. The Modern is such a special place. I’ve been going here often for the past few years and I must say, I don’t know what I would do without this place. They have a menu of wonderful, locally and seasonally inspired dishes. Always fresh, amazing and innovative.The service is flawless, and the staff here are the best in town, hands down. The space is tasteful, comfortable and inviting.And the cocktails…ah the cocktails. The Modern has elevated mixing drinks to an art form. Having traveled pretty extensively, I’ve NEVER had drinks that match what they’re doing here. One conversation with Michael (one of the delightful bartenders and masterminds behind the drink offerings) will reveal the level of expertise and attention to detail that goes into crafting the drinks here.
Modern Hotel provides Modern Excellence. The bartenders at the Modern Hotel are some of the finest you will find in the entire NorthWest. Micheal, Ryan and Eric provide the freshest, most creative cocktail in the city. Remi’s kitchen provides unique, fulfilling appetizers and fare that are a most-try. And if you decide to stay at the Hotel, Elizabeth and David have provided one of the best boutique experiences you will ever have. Great service, great people, great fun.
Class, all the way.. Come for the cheese plate and great sandwiches and drinks, stay for the great atmosphere!
