Charged me 4 bucks for salsa that’s normally free, a side of beef because I ordered chilli Colorado carne asada enchiladas and I said something to the lady and she didn’t do anything about it, it’s ridiculous been going here for 15 years and new management screwed the place up. Makes me sad but I will not EVER GO HERE AGAIN and encourage those who don’t want to be nickel and dimed and over charged.
I went on a double date here with my boyfriend and two of my friends. We had such an enjoyable time! The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it! We each took a to-go box home! When we got there and were pleased to see that they had live music, and the band was really awesome! They had a nice mix of old classics and new favorites, and they didn’t stick to just one genre. Having never eaten there before, the four of us each got something different to test out what was best. I have always liked green sauce, so I decided to go with, I believe is was Pollo Durango? Diabla? It started with a d, and it was amazing! With all the chips and salsa we had before our dinner came, I couldn’t eat half of it, which was fine because I just took it home and ate it the next day (and it was still just as good). My boyfriend had the steak fajitas, and they were really good as well! The peppers and onions were cut thin, and not in huge chunks like some places, and the seasoning they used wasn’t overpowering, but still added tons of flavor. Next time I go back, I’m having the steak fajitas! My friends stuck with the more traditional stuff – one got two carne tacos with rice and beans, which were really good with the onions and cilantro on top – the lime juice made them even better! The other had a chile Colorado burrito, which was very good as well, but not my favorite out of what we tried. The beef was tender, and the sauce was good, but like I mentioned before, I prefer green sauce. The service was exceptional as well! I never caught her name, but she had blonde-ish hair pulled back in a bun, and she had a lot of pens in her apron for some reason… Anyway, she was very attentive and knew the menu really well – I asked for something with the green sauce and she told me about the Durango (or Diabla, I can’t remember) and how it was her favorite, and I now know why! But when we were finished, I asked for an extra box to take home the chips, and she brought me a paper bag and a cup for the salsa as well! The only complaint I have is that when it came time to order, the band was a little loud, and we had a hard time hearing the waitress, and vice versa, but our food came out just as we ordered it, so not that bad of a complaint. I will definitely be coming back again! 5/5 🙂
Lots of good food.. We tried Puerto Vallarta for the first time today on my wife’s birthday. We sat outside, and it was nice to have that option on a beautiful day. The chips with salsa and beans were as good as I could get any place else. Our family of 5 had the super nachos with beef, the super nachos with chicken, steak fajitas for two, and a kids meal taco with rice and beans. The kids meal was bigger than I thought it would be for $3.75, and they let my daughter order it even though she is too old (menu says kids 9 and under). She really liked her food. The fajitas were decent, and came with cheese, rice, beans, lettuce, tortillas, sour cream and guac (which they did not charge extra for like some places do) on the side. It was absolutely enough food for my wife and me, and we’re not dainty eaters. The nachos were great. Nachos at some places are mostly chips. These were more toppings than chips. We actually had toppings left over and used the chips that came with our salsa. We had fried ice cream for dessert (yummy), and ended up taking quite a bit of food home with us. Not bad for $41.00. I would certainly eat there again. The atmosphere was nice, and the wait staff was excellent.
Bad food…bad experience. 9/13/2012I ordered Steak Ranchero…so hot could not eat it. Meat was like rubber, there was about 1oz. of meat cut in 1/8th inch thick and 1 inch long pieces for $11.95. Over priced food for what you get. Sent meal back…was made to pay full price. Said I would never come back! Left and about five yards out side the owner came out yelling at us. Very Embarrassing situation. Would not feed this food to my dog! Don’t Go there.you will be sorry. My wife’s tamale was only fair because it was old. Only positive chips, salsa & beans were good. Wait staff excellent!
