Better than Golden Dragon. GASP! There, I said it! As a resident of small(er) town idaho, word spreads quickly amongst friends and family as to where one may satisfy a particular craving. Many build such a strong loyalty to a particular restaurant that it’s almost blasphemous to suggest alternatives. While Golden Dragon has captured the attention of many in the Post Falls / Coeur d’Alene area for years, I think Wah Hing is the clear front runner in value, quality, and taste for local Chinese food. Located on highway 41 in Rathdrum, the short drive north to Wah Hing is worth it when your plate is always piled high with your favorite cuisine. My personal favorites are the Hong Kong Lo Mein and pineapple chicken, but I don’t think I’ve met a dish I didn’t like! The egg flour soup is delicious too! Try it!

NOT Chinese food. If you like the food here fine, but don’t call it Chinese or authentic. It’s 100% Americanized. The culinary abilities of the people in this entire region are a joke. Might as well be in the non French/Oriental portions of western Canada.
I wish it was in Coeur d Alene. I have only made it to this location once. But have visited the Kellogg location many, many times. They have very good food and lots of it. The menu is large with pages of choices. Great selection of combination dinners as well as family style dishes. During the weekdays you have great choices on lunch specials. Even the egg drop soup is fantastic here.
