8 Segundos Mas Miguel!. My first impression as I stepped into 9 Beans & a Burrito is that it was an overpriced Taco Bell with Pepsi and Slushy gimmicks all over the place and an eclectic mix of SirusXM BPM y Caliente music. They have two banquet rooms for when you want to have a conference or party there, interesting. My first impression should have spoke louder to me but I wanted to give the place a try. Looking at the menu all I saw was an uncreative pick and pull menu that was way overpriced for the type of restaurant the owners decided to setup. A combo shredded beef and bean burrito and tamal platter with rice and beans was $9 and a carne asada burrito was $5. Now those prices sound descent, but then the person taking your order tells you that the burritos only come with the meat and everything else costs extra and apparently there is no choice in tamales. In other words, a burrito that costs $5 ends up costing $7-$10 with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and any other extras you elect to ADD to your burrito. Since when did a burrito not come with veggies and cheese? Not only that but unfortunately you can see into the kitchen, and what I noticed while they were making my order is that 1. My food came out extremely fast, 2. There was no steam or sizzling occurring, and 3. Why did I decide to eat here? When my food arrived I was offered the extensive salsa selection of hot, medium, or mild, which thankfully doesn’t come from a packet and from what I can tell they might be homemade, might be. Unfortunately I would find out that this pleasantry wouldn’t be replicated. I got my order to go just so I could escape the music and lack of atmosphere. When I opened my container I found, not to an extreme surprise, the purple-hued refried beans from a twenty gallon can and some really dry and flavorless rice that you use to sop up the soupy beans to make them somewhat edible. The burrito is just as my cashier said just the meat, beans, and rice, but I feel thankful that the cooks decided to give me a couple extra helpings of grease, yeeaah :>{. My tamal ended up being a beef tamal and had some extra grease in it. I am very adept at being able to tell when a food item has been microwaved, the tell-tale sign is when the outside is cooler than the nuclear hot inside. The hot and medium salsas were the only things that made the meal bearable but not a meal that I would want to experience again. I was very disappointed with my experience and I will not try to give 9 Beans another try because I don’t see them changing their ways. If I may offer some suggestions: 1. Expand on your salsa selection – if in fact they are homemade, display them with pride. If they are not, try making them in house. 2. Make burritos that make me want to order them, load them up and I’ll choose what I don’t want. 3. Sacale micronda. Chef Miguel has grown tired of working for you and it doesn’t deliver justice to Mexican cuisine, fast food or otherwise. I have experienced many fast food style Mexican joints, and I have to say that I don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes for some freshly cooked food from Abuela’s Cocina. I Hope for the best and look forward to fresher items on your menu, until then Buena Suerte.

Wow huge burritos. My breakfast egg and sausage filled with sausage. Liked the sausage they use it’s a traditional breakfast one. Wife had tamale and it was very good, moist with a good massa. Restaurant style fast food.

Great Mexican, fast!. You could say that 9 Beans has amassed something of a cult following. Many of my friends who have left Twin Falls return for just 2 reasons. Visiting family, and going back to 9 Beans. It is like fast food in some ways; you order at the front counter, they call your name to pick up your order, no plates, plastic silverware & paper cups, etc. However, the food itself is NOTHING like fast food. You can tell a lot about Mexican food by looking at who is in the kitchen actually cooking it. 9 Beans usually has older Mexican women who are using their own experience to make the food RIGHT. Everything is hand made from family recipes every day. Everything I have ever tried has been delicious and very flavorful. The prices are fairly reasonable, but most items are ala carte, so putting together a big meal can start to add up.Here are a few of my favorite 9 Beans items:Breakfast Burritos: These are stuffed with eggs, your choice of meat (thick bacon, sausage, chorizo, shredded beef), and potato (if you want it) in a giant soft flour tortilla. They weigh about a pound, and if you get one at about 10:30, you won’t need lunch. About $4!Chicken Chipotle: This used to be a special served just once a week, but now it is available every day. Tender and juicy, this chicken starts out sweet and builds the heat. Amazing in crispy tacos!Shredded Beef Burrito: A giant tortilla (the best I’ve had anywhere) with a TON of juicy beef in it. I add rice, sour cream, and cilantro.
