This was the first time I had Korean food and it was fantastic. I was definitely impressed. My fiance spent a year living in Korea and he said this iss the best he’s had outside of the country. We will definitely be back many times.
Solid dining…. My buddy and I tried it after eating the worse Korean spot I have ever had down the street earlier in my trip to Chi-Town. The menu is mostly a fusion of Japanese and Korean dishes. The decor features the local Asian baseball players, as well it seemed many of the opposing Asian players chose to dine here when they play in Chicago. Two lovely young ladies, one Japanese..one Korean serve here. The main meat course is decent, the kimchi dishes were excellent. It’s a little pricey for what it is, in my opinion…but a solid spot.
K-bbq for foodies. Japanese/Korean husband/wife co-ownership and concept. This is excellent Korean BBQ with a Japanese take, meaning a bit lighter and some Japanese izakaya dishes mixed in. This is THE place in the city among the Japanese community, and for good reason. The ingredients are top quality as is the execution. This is not an all-you-can-eat price range K-BBQ, but you get what you pay for. Technically not 100 percent authentic Korean in style and menu, but don’t be discouraged, this is real Korean BBQ, just high quality. Excellent service. Fantastic menu if you remember that this is both a K-BBQ and izakaya really. This is where Korean/Japanese bar fare and atmosphere meet foodie attitude and expectations. Hands down my favorite.
