This review is only for their Dim SumYum dim sum! Hard to get in the burbs. Happy to try and it was good. Hand made and made to order. No carts.noodle crepe with shrimp was great! Turnip cake shrimp and chive dumpling were good. Scallop dumpling was a little tough. Eggplant stuffed with shrimp was ok. However the pork and shrimp stuffed bean curd was very good. As was the Chinese broccoli. Our favorite dim sum used to be at the jockey club wok n roll in Schaumburg just off Roselle road was so sad to find them closed. So we were happy to find this place and it’s solid. Smaller dim sum menus.I do like this better than MingHin in rolling meadows. Bistro Chen seems more authentic for my tastes.Worth a try!
We got kicked out from the restaurant when we were the only customers in there because my toddlers were laughing. And told to not come back if they can’t be (completely) quiet (in a totally empty restaurant).
Dim Sum in the Suburbs – FINALLY!. Finally – really, really good authentic dim sum in the suburbs. Made fresh to order, great service. A definite thumbs up!
This is certainly an improvement over the restaurant which used to be here, but I am not sure I will return. The AAC roll was very good, but our entrees were not so good. The Ma Pao Tofu was okay, as were the noodles I paired with it (though together they were odd), but I would not recommend the Volcano Chickenit was… weird. The chicken was extremely soft, lukewarm, and very spicy. It left me perplexed and suffering slightly. I wish I had stuck to their rolls and small plates.
