I don’t understand all the bad complaints, their service is super fast the price is cheap and the food is really good.
Economy is causing cut backs. The economy is causing them severe cut backs on supplies, could the end be near here? Here is a list of items I asked them for, and they didn’t have any of: Cheese, pepper, mustard, ketchup, relish, and onions. How can you be out of these staple items? The beef was ehhh…just OK, would not go out of my way to eat here again. Place was very clean though, but I feel it’s end is near. Chow Johnnie’s Beef, you won’t see me again.
Great italian sasuage. I love how you can smell it down the block when they are smoking their sausages, they are the best in areabeff is just ok, hot dogs are quite good and italian ice well, its made with real watermelon and lemons, so you be the judgeone thing that turns me away from this place is the attitude of who ever is behind the cash register, rude arrogant prick
Get over it. I love the fact that I walked in this place and they were cleaning……the beef was really good, and the tamales were on the same level.
What the ….. I just ate here after reading recommendations from several other sites naming this place the best beef in Chicago. However there is only one word I can use to describe my experience. Nasty. My beef was tough, fatty, and the juice it was dipped in had no flavor at all. My fiance had an Italian ice that tasted more like disinfectant than anything else. Never again.
