Went here with a few friends. Great restaurant and kid friendly. The service is good and so are the tapas. Nothing I would rave about but still good enough to maybe go back. Even though it’s a tapas restaurant the portions seemed a little small to me in comparison to other tapas restaurants. Overall I had a good time. There was nothing to complain about but also nothing to rave about either.
LOVE La Tasca tapas of arlington HTS. Absolutely love this Tapas restaurant. We have been going to La Tasca for past 16 years with boy friend (now Hubby), girls night out and for large group parties. The food has improved over the years tremendously. Some of our favorites are baby octopus, sun dried dated, herbed goat cheese, beef kebabs, calamari, paella, and of course the Sangria and Flan. We have introduced La Tasca to many others and never have had one complaint; in fact we bump into many of our friends on live band nights. La Tasca always has fun new item to try on the specials and my sister eating Gluten free will always be pleased on the Gluten free menu they offer. I also personally like Caf Iberico when downtown but between driving from the burbs, valet, and all the commotion we frequent La Tasca much more. Iberico is really good when downtown, I wouldnt bother much on try any others. La Tasca is spectacular choice for tapas in the burbs and no brainer for anyone to try. YUMMY!
On second thought…. The first time I visited La Tasca I made the mistake of visiting on a Saturday night, completely starving. A packed Tapas restaurant is not the best option when you are extremely hungry. I live in Arlington Heights and for about 2 years after that, I didn’t go back. Then they posted a deal on Groupon and after hearing how great La Tasca was from my Cousin who drives all the way from Waconda just to eat there (he also lived in Spain for years) I decided to give it another try. I am so glad that I gave La Tasca a second shot, I started with the black bean soup which was amazing and filling enough for a whole meal. From there we has at least 10 different tapas. Nobody left hungry that day.
Always busy but worth it. If you are a fan of Tapas try this place out. Everything is good across the board. My favorite is the beef medallions with shoe string potatoes and horseradish cream sauce. Also, their calamari is one of the best that I have ever had. Try to get here early because there is no reservations for small parties, it’s first come first serve. Enjoy!!
No reservations for small parties allowed on weekends and long waits don’t waste your time
Dissapointed. If you think they have good food, you should go to Las Tapas Barcelona, is a little bit far, in Evanston, but is worth it. They respect the wait list, something that does not happen in La Tasca and the food is 100% better than in La Tasca. Make sure you do your reservation!
Great cold tomato soup and bread for a light dinner for $3.
