Me and a friend go to La Zingara once a month, like clockwork. We love this restaurant. I’m not sure about anyone else but the service I have is always top notch. I’ve only ever seen one server working there and she knows exactly what she is doing, she is always nice and pleasant as punch! The food is always homemade, that’s why it takes a bit of time to come to your table, and it’s always excellent. It’s a nice, quaint, rustic restaurant and on Thursdays there is a live piano player there and he takes requests!

Was there for a party, not a normal dining situation. Everything tasted like it was frozen, was over or under cooked. The staff had little personality and didn’t seem to care. Food wasn’t worth the 2.5 hour drive.

Pretty good Italian food for the middle of the suburbs. Service is great, but the food seals the deal.

I must say our waitress was awesome!!! The food however was not good at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad, but the eggplant parmigiana was horrible, entirely too salty and the sauce was so bland. It tasted like a basic canned sauce with no seasoning. I would not eat there again even if it were free.

Excellent, homestyle Italian food. Try the cavatelli, it’s like grandma used to make! Owners are very nice. Service is on the slow side, but the atmosphere is as if you’re dining at a family friends home.

The best!. I’m over 70, native Chicagoan, never had a favorite Italian restaurant before LaZingara. Agree with John A. on all points; food prep, content and presentation excellent, as has been service whenever we’ve been there. Entertainment on weekends is an ideal complement to overall ambience, pricing is reasonable. Have introduced family and friends to the experience, with raves from all. Home made breads, veal in any form are particularly outstanding!

FANTASTIC!!!!!. This small restaurant has old world charm!!!. The food is some of the best I’ve ever eaten, and the staff is wonderful!!!! La Zingara is now my favorite Italian Restaurant. The portions are the right size and It’s the most bang for the buck. Keep up the work!!!
