Good Food, Good Value. The food here is really good. Not Tex-Mex, but much mor authentic Mexican with many different sauces. The prices are fair for the quality of the food and ambiance. Watch the time you arrive. This restaurant is connected to The Metropolis (a live theater venue). Just prior to the show, the place will usually be packed with patrons waiting for the night’s show to start. I would suggest looking up the show schedule, then plan on arriving 15 minutes after the start time. No wait and you avoid the crowd.

You should eat here.. Really nice mexican/Latin cuisine. this is not Tex Mex, so don’t expect the same flavor profiles. Nice atmosphere and friendly knowledgable service. The Chilaquiles with marinated chargrilled skirt steak topped with a fried egg was just unique and wonderful. I especially liked the 3 different types of salsas served at the table. Would return if in this area again. If you live here – you should eat here!

Great meal last night! We showed up with no reservations on a Friday night and were looking at a 30 minute wait ( with kids in tow). We decided to tough it out but they seated us at the chef’s table pretty quickly, away from the main dining room but we didn’t mind at all. They have kid friendly items that do not appear on the menu which was great as my kids are not huge Mexican food fans. Loved the tableside-smashed guacamole and the simple green sauce-covered enchiladas. Like the black beans on the side, too. My husband did not even make a dent in his chicken burrito and will act as his meals for the next few days, i am sure. Oh, the top shelf margarita was deeeeelish. One was plenty… Jaritos and virgin pia coladas for the kids and they were sold!

Average. The table made guacamole was average but they have a lot of ingredients you can add. My husband is a picky eater so I won’t hold that against them. It would have been better spicier.I had one of the specials, Camarones Manchamanteles, which was shrimp in the special mole sauce of the day. It was served with coconut rice. A few plantains on the side would have been a nice touch. It was good and the medley of flavors in the mole were a compliment to the sweet rice. The enchiladas were good too and they did accomodate my brother’s special request. This is not a restaurant for a quick meal. Pacing is slower but all of the food arrived very hot. When I made the reservation on Open Table, it took a while to confirm. By that time we were already on our way to the restaurant. There was no indication that the meal didn’t qualify for points until after I returned home and saw their late e-mail. They should specify up front what days / hours do not qualify. We visited on a Sunday evening at 6pm.

Delicious! Just the right amount of heat in the mole and not too sweet on the chocolate bread pudding. Will go again.
