Loving this tiny Korean joint in Arlington Heights! Surprised that I have never heard it before and it is not new!The place was tiny but quaint and it’s kinda tucked in between buildings. I barely noticed it. However, it’s always packed! I have been here three times and it’s always busy! We had to delay our reservation on our first visit due to the wonderfully amazing Chicago traffic; and we had to wait about 15 minutes when we got there as they were completely maxed out.We have always ordered tons of foods from grilled spicy squids in hot plate, the seafood pancake aja paejun, the chap gae, kalbi, dol bukki, jamboong or noodles in spicy broth with seafood and pork. Everything was very very tasty! I also loved the fact that we could eat Korean BBQ without getting stinky like smoke. I loveeeee that!! The owner and his crew worked their butt off to service all the tables. They’re busy but they didn’t skip a beat. They only thing I wish they would do better is the little side dishes. I wish they give more each and have Not sure what Ttowa means and why they need two Ts for Ttowa. Maybe it was the same thing like if I would describe Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. HOTT. It just seems that one T isn’t enough.
Don’t go if you like service.. DO NOT go to this restaurant if you like to be served! This restaurant was the selection for my birthday with our birthday group. With a reservation for 9 and after sitting for 25 minutes with NO attention from anyone, we all left. We will not be returning. It was a huge disappointment and a waste of time.
Food tasted awesome!!! Very flavorful. Julie was an awesome waitress who really cares about the customers. Will return for sure. Had the chicken, beef steak, and dumplings. Awesome and different food experience.
You’ve got to try it!. Ttowa offers tasty food, reasonable prices and some of the friendliest-yet-professional service I’ve encountered. The entire staff is eager to see diners satisfied. I’ve dined there twice and intend to return. The Korean menu is a nice alternative to the Thai and Chinese places established in the area.
The best bulgogi I’ve ever had! Love it!
Great addition to downtown Arlington Heights!. Love the Mandoo (Korean potstickers) and the Bibimbap with steak is to die for, really flavorfull and healthy!!!
