As soon as you walk through the doors of Orbit Room, you’ll be greeted by the friendliest staff known to man… if you’ve ever been to Disney World on your birthday, it’s something like that.Anyways, our group walked straight through the bar to their impressive, backyard, tiki-themed patio. We ordered some food and Bulleit Lemonades (nice and strong). The food was nothing to write home about – basic burgers, sandwiches, etc. I’d recommend eating beforehand and maybe sharing a starter with drinks. However, their laid-back, neighborhood gem atmosphere and friendly waitstaff will bring me back soon. I have my eye on the Honey Bee.
Angus burger with goat cheese medium rare, Jack Mac & Cheese = WIN! Attentive service, great ambiance. In the summer, sit outside in the beer garden. Love Ali, Meg and well – the whole staff! Great specials. If you love punk rock, even better! You’ll be welcomed with open arms!
Hidden gem. So I tried to go to Kuma’s corner and found the place packed. Instead of waiting an hour, my girl and I headed down the street and stopped in to the Orbit Room. Aside from having a great bar, the food was delicious and at a great price. I had a big cheeseburger, I think it was 1/2 pound of meat, and it was absolutely delicious. I had a heaping pile of ‘straight from the fryer’ potato chips that were perfectly thin and crispy. My girlfriend opted for the onion rings. Sliced thin and lightly breaded in flour, these things were addictively good! The decor has a slight retro feeling, and I’m unsure if the bar was remodeled in the 80’s, or if they are trying to be a little edgy. All i could think was the triangle shaped piece of glass in the front door could have come from the set of ‘Saved by the Bell’. Great waitstaff, and I’ll be coming back!
