Joyful Noise. The food is fabulous. Both times I’ve been here I’ve ordered the chef’s tasting menu — you get eight small plates perfect for sharing — and waited to be surprised: most recently by California Sturgeon with Beluga Lentils and skewered grilled chicken with a feta sauce. And by a subtle, refreshing gin and tonic — maybe the best I’ve ever had. The food and cocktails are so good that people take a taste and literally start screaming. They scream, they really do. One person will scream and then the next will scream louder in order that their scream of joy will be heard above the first. Table to table the screams bound and rebound. Conversation is not necessary, or possible. Gestures and glances are sufficient, or if more exact communication is important, texting your tablemates is the way to go. Saturday evening is when the joyful noise reaches its crescendo. So if you are old and deaf, or fear going deaf, go during the week or for weekend lunch. The food is fabulous I say again; and if you are the expressive sort and like to bellow, make a reservation for Saturday evening.

We then had the goat cheese stuffed pasta with the truffles and brown butter suace OMG – it was heaven. The lavendar infused cheese cake was also another slice of heaven. Nice wine list and interesting cocktails. Server was fantastic. Nice to kind this little gem in an area that needs a few gems. Decor is minimal but cozy enough. We will definitely be regulars.
