When you’re in Chicago and you want to get Ice cream all the locals will directly recommend the Original Rainbow Cone. Lucky for us when we were at the Navy pier we found their parlor which only opens in summer days. The traditional rainbow cone contains 5 flavors which they have to be poured by an exact order in a waffle cone or a cup. The flavors by order from bottom to top are: chocolate – strawberry – Palmer House (New York Vanilla with cherries and walnuts) – Pistachio and Orange sherbet. I took a rainbow cup while my little daughter had the chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone both for 14$. All the flavors were amazingly tasty and felt authentic. They were creamy with no ice crush and not heavy at all. This is a recommended place.
