Although 2/3 steaks at our table weren’t cooked properly, the second attempt was very tasty. The vegetarian dish of mashed potatoes and veggies at our table was reported to be very tasty although we are not sure what was served. Would love to see a real vegetarian option on the menu.

My favorite. I’ve been going to Jim’s since it was the Brittany. They’re famous for their Caesar Salad, however the regular house salad with the Brittany dressing is to die for. The steaks are prepared perfectly. I’ve found their lobster vastly over-priced, but I go for the beef.

A local favorite because of its steaks. They are excellent! The surroundings certainly aren’t modern or trendy. The food makes up for it. Not for diners who prefer light, airy surroundings and other franchise touches.

This place has a strong local following for reasons totally unknown to us. It’s dark, dank (literally smells like old leaky basement) worn out w/strangest decor imaginable, and the decor is the best part! The menu is bleak, prices hideously high & food ordinary on a good day & suspiciosly off flavor on others. Two people who were w/us last time we ate there thought they had bleu cheese on their steaks but discovered it was MOLD instead! The steaks smelled rotten! Chef said it was supposed to be like this! Apetizers were off flavor, bread was tasteless & prices were extremely high. Only good part…best martinis around…you’ll need several to get thru the meal!

U should ask to see the kitchen before eating at jims. They have it so dark in there so u can’t see what ur really eating.

I have eaten there once before and my food was actually good….however, I have known people who have worked there and after hearing stories I will not be a diner there again. I have heard some unsanitary stories from employees which really bummed me out. Proceed with caution no matter how good the steak!

Unbeatable Food!. This place has captured my heart for more than its romantic ambiance. We have yet to have a meal there that didn’t leave us practically applauding at the table from delight. Unfortunately, they recently did away with their famous piano man, and for that we are saddened. But, that alone will not keep us from enjoying more dinners at this upscale restaurant.
