Without a doubt, the best regular-old Mexican joint in the suburbs. You won’t find anything experimental or fancy, but that’s not why you would ever go here in the first place.

Don’t shake my hand please. I went to this place based on the reviews below since I am in the area. And the owner charged me like a bull charging a matadors red cape before I even got to the counter to shake my hand. No exaggeration to the reviews below.. he was overly friendly and I couldn’t shake him long enough to enjoy my steak burrito and weird salsa.. Also, there was a guy who was wasted that kept singing really loudly at the table next to me.. I wanted to smash my bottle of jarrito’s over his head to get him to settle down. Nonetheless, the food was pretty good.
Nutmeg in salsa?!?. This place puts nutmeg in their Salsa Roja (red sauce) It makes me turn into the hulk and want to trash the restaurant and throw the overly friendly owner through the front window. The food is pretty decent though I really never had anything that I didn’t like. I didn’t care for the sling-blade looking mofo’s staring me down.. did I remind you of your Tio Ramon back in Monterrey? I think I did. Give this place a try.
CAUTION: Owner is a compulsive handshaker. Now i’m all for respect, pounds, knucks, shakes, throwdowns. However the owner feels the need to always shake my hand when I go in there. Maybe this is just only me because last face it I’m quite memorable appearance wise ,not many people rock the same glasses as the JFK shooter but never the less he shakes my hand too much.now for the foodcarne asada is flame if you order it medium. Tacos are above average, i didn’t even bother with over sized burritos. The green sauce is good but has a distinct spice that is off-putting I cannot figure this out, it is unlike any green sauce EVER. The salsa served with the chips also has something weird in it , i believe its nut-meg; interesting taste not good or bad.Service is overly friendly: to me at least ,kind of annoyingif you feel like shaking the dudes hand then I suggest you go in there.
