For the best Polish food in town you cannot beat Smak Tak. Small and cozy, this spot is friendly & welcoming. I have had excellent service here, always with a smile. BYOB always a plus. Do not skip the soups! Signature mushroom soup is addictive. The borscht is dark and deeply savory, with lots of dill & vinegar. It comes with little mushroom pierogi garnish. Don’t be afraid of the borscht. My companion was apprehensive, but fell in love with it instantly. The pierogi are the best in town: fluffy pillows with a variety of fillings. We opted for the savory kinds. But the sweeter fruit ones are also popular. Hungarian pancake is a massive potato crpe stuffed with goulash. Not to be missed. Opt for sweet cheese blintzes for dessert: not too sweet, they are perfect with a cup of hot tea.
