Not happy. Had dinner with my guest. My server was rushing around so much that when she flung our salads down bit of it flew on to my guest lap.didn’t come to check if we needed anything., brought our dinners. Order med.well filet.but got very rare and bloody filet. Brought it to her attention. She took my plate and brought another now the filet was fine but the bake potato was burnt. And by the time I got my replacement my guest had finished his meal..very unsatisfied. And will noir go back
Very Poor Service. I was very disappointed with the service at this restaurant. It wasn’t busy when I & a male friend arrived at 8:15p & we only had to wait five minutes for a table. The dining area looked very nice & the booth was spacious. I had high hopes for this place after seeing it & being seated promotly by the very nice hostess. Sadly, these hopes were soon dashed. After being seated, we watched five or six servers milling around, some checking on other tables & others just seemed to be horsing around. No one came to take our drink orders for over five minutes. When the waitress did arrive, we asked to see a drink menu & then had to wait another five minutes while she located one. We ordered our drinks & two appetizers. She came back with the drinks a few minutes later & we ordered our food. My friends food came with soup & a salad but mine did not. I waited patiently as he was brought his soup & then his salad. Minutes ticked by as I watched him eat & waited for the appetizers. After twenty minutes, the waitress appeared with both of our entrees. Confused, my friend told her we had never gotten our appetizers. She informed us that she had forgotten to put the order in & asked if we wanted her to put it in so we could take it home. We declined the offer & began eating. My dish, the Crystal Lake Salad, was wonderful. The salmon was cooked just right & there was just enough dressing & goat cheese. Unfortunately, my friend’s dish, steak & broccoli, were both cold. He informed the waitress & she took the plate back while also getting the manager. We waited more than five minutes while they microwaved his food & brought the manager over. This was were I was again very disappointed & also uncomfortable. Instead of offering us free dessert or complimentary drinks, the manger asked us what we wanted him to do. I wasn’t sure how to answer the open ended question. He ended up giving us free appetizers for our next visit…but that assumes that we would visit his establishment again. I would have been more impressed if he had offered us something at our current visit to rectify all the mistakes that had been made. Overall, I would not reccommend dining at Jameson’s. While our waitress did seem very nice, she made too many mistakes & her manager didn’t do a very good job making up for them. (I blame the manger more than the server in this situation.) The food was also a mixed bag. For the price, I would not risk getting such poor service again.
We came here hoping to have a nice night out. There were not a lot of customers. It took a long time to get a drink menu, and order our drinks and appetizers. We never received our appetizers. When our entres arrived, we had been here for over an hour and my prime rib was cold. The waitress took it back and we waited another 10 minutes before the manager brought it back, and by this time it was overcooked and cold again. The manager had no idea how to handle the situation and pressured US on how to rectify the situation. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the food. The decor was nice. Would not recommend
Jamesons is no doubt the best food in our crystal lake il area..service is the best,so much food your can easily split a meal of have left overs for next day.warm and friendly place to meet..we love the bar area..great personal service. give it a try, your will love it..
Jameson Crystal Lake. Hostess tried to seat us in boith with a column blocking table. Waitress was badically inept and Rarely available. Broccoli side was ridiculously undercooked- twice! Then told us we didn’t want dessert. Way to sell! While dining room was packed, manager was in bar instead of checking in with customers…too bad.
The hostess, young, rude, self-absorbed bitch. Should be fired. No smiles. Just not hostess material. Fire her!!!Waitress was excellent. Attentive, pleasant and professional.food and wine selections excellent. Has grilled octopus. Salas with delectable creamy garlic. Filer with a side of grilled artichoke.Superbly satisfied with the dining. Fire the hostesses. Worthless and unprofessional.For Crystal Lake I highly recommend.
Great restaurant. All of the food on the menu is great, I know because we eat here every week and have tried most everything on the menu. The servers are all friendly and attentive. The restaurant is well run and the prices are excellent compared to other high end steak houses. The steaks are as good as Ruth chrises for half the price. Any bad reviews on this site must be coming from Jameson’s competition because we have never had a bad experience with the food or service.
