True Chicago classic.. I never make a trip to the Windy City without grabbing a dog with everything and some Italian beef. Luckily there’s a few of these places around so you are never too far away when in town.
I wish there was an ‘it’s ok’ option. I understand it’s not a full service bar but it would be nice if there was someone over there to take an order. And if all they’re selling is the wine in mini bottles couldn’t they at least put it in something that resembles a wine glass? I think they poured it into a juice glass. For as full as it was they should have given me the bottle and let me drink straight from it.Had a beef n cheese croissant, too much bread but beef and fries were good. The whole Barnelli’s Portillos thing is too much for my tiny taste buds; wish they’d consolidate the menu and make it a one stop shop with a FULL service bar.
A great Chicago land eating experience! Things move fast here, & you almost need a coach when you go in the first time but go & experiene this place. Too many good things to choose from salads, hot dogs, pasta….yum!
Great Chicago classic… This is a must for anyone visiting the area. Everything is good… Maxwell polish delicious.

Now THAT’s an Italian Beef!. Need I say more?The cheese fries are some of the best I’ve ever had – something about the crisp crinkle cut fry and piping hot cheeze whiz… oh yum. Lets not forget the Chicago Hot Dog – simply perfect. They dont miss a beat, from the steamed poppyseed bun to the peppers and the pickles. And of course, the creme de la creme is the Italian Beef. It’s seriously swimmin in au jus and the hot peppers and cheese are a must addition! Everytime I come home I eat here. More than once…. 😉
