No clue why locals find this place so awesome, it’s a dump and the food is revolting. Bathrooms and general appearance are dirty, scruffy and old. Please do yourself a favor and visit any other restaurant, even McDonalds.
The food here is atrocious, how it gets the reviews it does is probably just from those who have never eaten elsewhere. Dog food could be used to describe the look of most plates, certainly not Chinese.
Great place. I have been going to this place since I was a kid and I love that it hasn’t changed. Yes, the bathrooms are outdated and the dcor is original but that whats great about it. Some might not like the food because its not authentic Chinese, so be it. I thought it was supposed to be more Polynesian anyways. A couple of reviews say its over priced? How? The entrees are about $11. Egg roll for $2.50. Seems pretty cheap to me. The Mai Tais are great and the staff has always been friendly.22 Apr, 2012Great. Its a great place. Its been around for ever. Yes, its old inside, but thats the great thing about it. Its like going back to the 60’s.
Never again!. I have tried this Crystal Lake establishment several times over the last few years and continue to get over priced food that is tasteless and greasy. My last visit was on December 2 2012 and I had chicken and pea pods with cashews, I am still looking for my chicken and cashews! Many local people talk highly of this place but they must never leave town. The place is old and dark and my food has been very marginal at best. Do yourself a favor and try another place.
Not sure what people see in this place. It is totally old and outdated… The bathrooms are gross and the food is nothing special. The prices are way too high for what u get.
