We have dined at BackDoor multiple times and general enjoyed the food. However the last time we dined there we received an incomplete and wrong order. We called after we had relized the mistake and were rudely instructed to return the order to have it corrected. Might I add this is a diner with pick up or carry out only. Now I understand that mistakes happen but when one does the buissness should be quick and courteous when it comes to resolving it. Not only were they rude but also made it clear it was an inconvenience to them to correct it. For a small buissness this kind of customer service is nothing less then disrespectful to the vary patrons which keeps them employed and fed. I will not EVER eat at this place again. This is also the first negative reveiw I have had the unfortune of writing for Danville restaurants… I wouldn’t be surprised at this kind of service at Mcdonalds but c’mon!
GREAT Italian Beef. Have only eaten there one time – was traveling through the area and stopped for lunch. I had the best Italian beef sandwich ever, and I have tried many varieties. Portions were huge…a full order is enough for two. Haven’t tried the pizza but it looked tasty. Don’t go expecting a nice place to sit and eat; this is a carry-out shop, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I ate there when it was warm outside, so I was able to use the picnic table out back. Note: There is a reason this is named BACKDOOR Pizza & More. I used GPS and ended up at what I thought was a small abandoned building next to the RR tracks. However, drive around back and you’ll see the small sign & Dior to get in. Recommended!!!!
