Food Hound: Tidbit – Mr. Beef & Pizza. Hey guys! It’s me, Etan Wish!!Only three stars average for this place? No way! First of all, if you’re going to get some good pizza, it’s going to be New York City or Chicago. If you’ve been to either city, you know they have very different styles. Here at Mr. Beef and Pizza, you get a NY style pizza in Chicago, and they do it alright!It’s a small place, enough seating for maybe 30 people. You can get your pizza by the slice, burgers, or try some of their other specialties, like the pizza puffs or beef sandwiches. Everything is pretty well priced and portions are pretty well sized as well. The decor is that of the 40s, or 50s… lots of celebrity pictures on the walls and puffy old school benches with leopard prints. We all got different foods, but we had to try the beef sandwiches and pizza puffs. The sandwiches are similar to Philly cheese-steaks, but with a different kick in the spice. Mind you, these are STUFFED with beef. The pizza puffs are kind of like hot pockets, but 10x better. They have everything a slice could have on top, but inside. Very tasty and filling as well.Place is nice and clean, and we enjoyed every bite!
