Well, good afternoon all..I took my twin nieces to Juicy-O this morning for breakfast, and as I was sitting on a seat in the rear of the restaurant next to the banister, i noticed a bus boy trying to catch a small mouse, but unfortunately it ran under a table of three ladies… and as the employees were trying not to be obvious, they noticed that I was in Awww…I mentioned it to my waitress, and she was surprised… so we kinda lost our appetite, and took our food to go.. after the general manager Jimmy took my payment, he apologize for the rodent being there, and explain why it was there, and said next time you come it will be on the house…Wow, Thanks, but no thank you, I will not be back at this establishment.. and maybe my meal should have been on the house today…i give the employee credit for trying to catch, the little critter, but he wasn’t fast enough..
I’ve been here before and enjoyed a typical breakfast restaurant selection, but I’m scant on details. This time, I just stopped in to have a coffee and maybe something to eat because I was waiting for another store in the strip mall to open. I decided to go for the lowest-cost item on the menu, two eggs, any style, with potatoes or grits, and pancakes or toast. Heedless of my own metabolism, I went with pancakes (and grits) this time around. Their standard pancake is very thick and spongy, though they did not quite soak up as much syrup as fluffy pancakes usually do. The whole meal was served on two very large plates, although in fact the pancakes did need to take up one of the plates all by themselves. Specialty of house is a small bowl of Lil’ Orbit type donuts free with each order. Another unique item is their jumbo pecan or cinnamon roll, which is about the size of a small sourdough bread loaf. beeronaut.com

Saturday AM had 20 minute wait. Free fresh donuts were soft and tasty. Breakfast portion was enough for 2. Dozens of menu choices.
Another Jimmy Banos Creation. The brains behind Heaven on Seven breaks away from the cajun fare to bring this breakfast/lunch joint to the Western Burbs. I had lunch here – a very good patty melt. Clearly, the speciality seems to be breakfast – will try that next time. Rumor has it there is another Juicy O opening off 63rd and Route 83. Is that Darien there?
