When I say it wasn’t as good as suburban Portillo’s, I’m talking about the service…not the food. (You can never go wrong with an Italian beef sandwich at Portillo’s! The fries are good crinkle fries with the perfect amount of salt. They’ve got this down to a science.) They were just significantly less friendly at this location than the ones out in the northern burbs that I usually visit. The lady calling out the order numbers simply could not be heard. I don’t know why she wasn’t using the speaker system to call them. Also, she was giving out survey opportunities to certain people and then told them to comeback for a free fries or dessert all while ignoring other people who had been standing there waiting. To be honest, I would have turned it down if she offered it to me, but it was off putting that it was offered to some and not others. Certainly not going to keep me from stop
