My cousin goes to Elmhurst College and I enjoy spending the weekends over there from time to time. Nu Crepes is our favorite place to go. The venue is super modern and looks like a place where a ‘hipster’ would hang out. I really like how it’s almost hidden in an alley of a busy plaza. Obviously, the star of the show is their Crepes. Oh, my goodness. Whether you go with sweet or savory (I have tried both) you are in for a treat. For sweet, I tried The Bomb and for savory I tried the Banger Toasty. I have to say, the sweet was a bit much. The savory, however, is where it’s at! I would definitely have given it a higher rating if it wasn’t for one thing: I am in a wheelchair, and obviously that means I need an elevator to get to the basement (which is where the restaurant is). One time, my cousin, some friends, and myself showed up only to find the elevator not working. Of course, I understand that things happen. What I don’t understand is why they didn’t bring me up menu, bring me up my food, or come up to apologize for the inconvenience. Instead, I got a menu on my phone and my cousin brought up the food and we are on the stairs. I just found it to be a strange. Regardless, there Crepes and modern hipster vibe are worth going back. -A Rye Bread Recommendation-
