This is a nice quaint little neighborhood burger joint. I ordered fairly basic items and probably did myself a disservice. I will happily try again and test the range further. The burger I ordered wasnt bad but it wasnt anything to write home about.
I saw these folks were evaluated one of the best burger joints in the nation, so I needed to try them out. This audit may be somewhat problematic, in light of the fact that I attempted on of their writing board specials, the twofold creature style. I’m a major In-n-out fan, so I was powerless to oppose this unique. Evaluated at $9 with no side, is somewhat steep yet man it was great. Might I venture to state, shockingly better than the genuine article! No joking, I know it’s a hot take, however in the event that it is still on the menu when you come in, give it a shot!
Best (and a wide variety of) Hotdogs. Top top it off, incredible fries! A much throbbed student hangout. Small and cosy, no alcohol permit though.
I liked Edzo’s, but didn’t love it. Burgers were cooked with precision. Cooked, though not seasoned. Buffalo blue cheese fries and garlic fries were wonderful, though the latter was a bit too drenched in butter (yes, it’s possible) — but still very good. Char-grill burger was crusty on the outside and perfect on the inside. Again, no seasoning. Buns were oversized and a little dry.
This place popped up on the eater 38 and I fancy myself a burger lovin dude so naturally, I took a trip to Evanston. This place is right in the middle of downtown evanston so pretty convenient if you are a student of the nearby university. The menu is pretty simple when it comes to the burgers. You can get a single double or triple or go with the double size 8oz patty. They also have meat upgrades for $3 per burger, I’m a sucker for those and I’ll tell you it was worth it. Maybe it was placebo but the dry aged beef upgrade really brings out a beefy flavor I don’t get with most burgers. The burgers are cooked on the griddle so you get that nice char on all the edges as it hangs off the bun just a little bit. I definitely got my burger fix. They do have other things like the pb&j, some meats and hot dogs but I can only eat so much food. I was debating between the angry fries and the lobster fries, I opted for the slightly less ridiculous side order and went with the angry ones. Truth be told I was just a little angry with them. Advertised as spicy, they were just fries with some mildish giardinera and buffalo sauce that made them pretty soggy. But there are a ton of different fry choices that sounded pretty good if I’m ever back. Overall Edzos serves up a Damn good no frills burger. And the prices are really reasonable. Plus the tax is included on the menu board. That’s kinda cool. euroatheart.com
YUM! Love Edzo’s! The griddled burger with extra toppings is my favorite! The chocolate milkshake is delicious – but beware its pretty heavy, more like a dessert than a drink!!
Great food!!! If you like greasy oily Burgers and fries in a dirty environment.
