I had to hit up this place before my Chicago stay was over. I dropped by around 7pm and the joint was hopping. Seemed like all the cool kids and bearded millennials were there for their evening eats. I stuck with what made this place popular: hot dog and Italian beef sandwich. The dog was solid but a bit salty. The sandwich was excellent, and they don’t cheap out on the beef. There was a tonne of it, way more than one would expect from a $6 sandwich. And the crinkle fries were perfectly flavorful and crispy.Cool place. Good food. Solid value. I would’ve gone back and tried some ribs or a burger had my stay been longer.

Best pancakes and waffles in Evanston! Make it on a Sunday morning, navigate the waiting line and there you go with a great option for brunches with friends. Good coffee too, and that makes it a good morning meeting spot on weekdays as well.

If you are looking for a good breakfast place in Evanston – check out Le Peep! The food is pretty good! A pot of hot coffee, fresh OJ and gypsy skillet is my usual order. But it may get busy and wait is long (very long!) sometimes! I love the food so don’t mind the wait (in line or for the food to come).Only if they had some mimosas my rating would be upto a 4.5!

YUMMY YUMMY and YUMMY. I just has to take a moment to share the very pleasant experience my family had this past week at Le Peep Evanston. I used to frequent them when I lived in Indianapolis. The wait was decent – the folks really know how to keep the guest movin:) The server was very nice and attentive. The food was PERFECT! First it came hot, always a good first sign. When my good friend orders very soft scrambled eggs people never get it right and have to send them back. This just puts such a damper on the meal – but not this time!! Whew – they were perfect, very soft scramble with cheddar cheese with her Hen House plate and endless coffee she thought was brewed just right. Needless to say, we had an enjoyable breakfast. I had cranberry and almond pancakes – big and fluffy with my Lumberjack plate along with a delightful cappuccino, my 8 year old nephew had the Lumberjack and ate just about all of it, my niece enjoyed the turkey, brie and apple sandwich with a pumpkin latte. There aren’t many good breakfast places, so when you come across one you have to share and gloat;)

The service was fast and friendly, the food was inexpensive ($6 with tax for the le egg sandwich), great menu and good location.

Bunch of college kids running around messing up orders. Chaos. And for the quality, not worth it. Le Poop.

Huge mugs of Caramel Macchiato…will return!. We enjoyed a large breakfast here last Sunday during our annual trip to Evanston. I tried the Gypsy Skillet which is a well seasoned and flavorful combination of Peasant potatoes, ham, onions, mushrooms and eggs. It also comes with your choice of English muffin. (Buttered cinnamon raisin was very yummy!) Everything was well prepared and arrived quickly considering it was a pretty busy morning. My favorite part was the huge mug of Caramel Macchiato! Great way to start the day!
