Traditionally a Nepalese joint but more famous for its Indian fare. Their sunday lunch buffet is pretty great. Really like their appetizers, particularly the samosas!
Food is good; best Indian food in area. Staff is also good and always attentive.Tried there veg thali, butter chicken and butter naan on different occasions and they all are par expectation.
Big fan of their chicken makhani, the best Ive tried. Pretty good naan soft and smooth, and nice tikka masala. Usually slow on the delivery and a bitexpensive but they have discount with the wildcard. Always a good choice if ordering some food.
I love this place. They have the best malai kofta and my favorite garlic naan. This place has some of the best Indian & Nepali flavors if you know the right things to order. They have an amazing vegetarian platter for two which gives you a good variety. Their paneer makhani and aloo toma bodi are a must have. I am also a big fan of their Dal tarka – yellow daal. I highly recommend starting the meal with some delicious samosas and ending it with their amazing gulab jamuns.
If you are indian you may not like this place too much, but if you are really craving Indian food – Mt. Everest is a good (but a little pricey) option in Evanston. Try the chicken makhani or the saag chicken (chicken with spinach) with garlic naan!
I love Indian cuisine, but I only dine here for its convenience. The food tastes tired, old. Take any restaurant from Devon St., drop it in Evanston, and this place would die the death it deserves.
The food is amazing ! Especially for students who go to northwestern university and miss Indian food a lot, this is the place to go. The ambience is very apt and the service is commendable.
