Nice place. Live music on Saturday, Filet Trio was interesting and the dessert sampler was good.
Great place for special or fancy days
Steak and Tuna. We went to celebrate a new job the other night. It was really really good. The live band was great, the food was amazing. My fianc got prime rib and I got the sushi grade tuna. Both were exceptional. The bread was a hit too. We will go back!
Pete Miller’s Steakhouse Wheeling. We had a terrible experience 2 years ago. We have not returned since. There are just too many choices to return for the type of treatment received. This one was the Wheeling Steakhouse. There was an awful server, a female who left our table unattended for long periods simply because we came in for the band and only had appetizers. She was standing in full view and deliberately ignoring our requests. We complained to management but the manager on duty did nothing. TERRIBLE SERVICE. She was too old not to know better. No tip and have not been back since. Never missed going to this day! Their loss!
Crazy expensive, but good.. Snooty customers, casual staff. If you like expensive meat and expensive wine, ya gotta go here. Good bar to meet friends and eat elsewhere.
Some good and some bad …. I want to like Pete Miller’s very much. It’s a great location. The atmosphere is wonderful. There’s a good band … But my experience with PM’s is uneven; I almost always have one element of a meal turns out poorly. Last night it was an undercooked steak. My wife asked for medium and got very medium rare. So I moved ahead with my side of meal not wanting it to get cold, while she sat and waited. Never a pleasant experience …My veal chop was quite good. It was well prepared and had a fine peppercorn cream sauce. The salads were tasty and fresh, and the sorbet was outstanding. It was the highlight of the night …. even for someone who’s not a big sorbet fancier. One last note … our server was friendly and made good suggestions, but the service was dreadfully slow. Nearly 2 hours to have a very simple meal with long long breaks between drinks, salads, and main course is far too long.While PM’s is obviously popular – and I don’t think its a bad place – with so many other steak houses to choose from in Chicago, why not go to one of those instead? A $200 meal should be flawless.
Beef Nirvana. There are only 2 flaws at this classic Chicagoland Steakhouse. The bread is terrible and they add ingredients to their fabulous burger. The meat is so good that anything more than meat and something to hold on to the patty distracts from the burger. Steaks are always great but if you goin on the cheap GET the Burger NAKED! Cocktails are also good.This is the best steakhouse bargain in Chicagoland.
