Great Food and Staff is Friendly. We go on Sunday for brunch usually. It’s great food and pretty dead that time of the week. The waiters are friendly and knowledgable (they make good suggestions). We will be back!
Poor service. Food was average at best. Website is better than the reality of this restaurant.
Great place !. This place has it all. Huge variety of beers (I don’t drink beer but have it on good authority that they are good choices). Great food – this I know- burger are perfect, if they have gumbo it is the best outside of New Orleans. Friendly servers. Convenient parking. As I said- Great Place!
Cajun-Mexican-American fusion. We went here late-ish one night, and we weren’t very hungry, so we only ordered one entree and 2 starters. We sat round the back, outside, which proved a smart move, as the front dining area is more a bar and very noisy so if you want a more relaxed intimate experience definitely get a seat out back. The food is basically a fusion cuisine; Cajun themed tacos, the Gulf shrimp and crawfish etouffee was unbelievable, etcetera. The food is pricey, but on balance, i would say that the quality definitely is up there. Their beer selection, too, is up to the level you’d expect for $18 a plate restaurants, with a mix of craft brewery, local and imported beers. Would go back on a special occasion for dinner, and will definitely go back for lunch some time.
Great atmosphere, great food. We decided to try Prairie Moon our first night in Evanston for two reasons: closest proximity to our hotel next door and we also got 15% off by showing them our room key! Glad I followed the advice below…the fish tacos with the blackened tilapia were a really tasty treat! Really appreciated the warm & cozy candlelit tables. Wait staff and hostess were very sweet! We’ll defiantely plan on returning for future visits.
Evanston: solid go-to lunch spot; great burgers & salads; fish tacos = best. Excellent beer selection.
