Great Sushi in Chicago. Good sushi (actually seafood in general, but that story is for another time) is impossible to find in the Midwest. Shiroi is a friendly, family owned restaurant that apparently has been there for 20 years, but I just recently discovered this diamond in the rough. For each of my visits, their sushi has been consistently fresh and delicious, as were their other seafood and Japanese dishes. It isn’t the most economically priced food, but most sushi joints are priced the same (if not higher) while serving sushi of a far, far lower quality. Overall, I highly recommend this place, enjoy!
Awesome sushi. Ive been goin there for years now and its one of the best sushi spots in the burbs. Great food and a friendly atmosphere. Especially must try the dragon roll. Never had a better one any other place Ive gone. Must try if you love sushi.
Our go to place for sushi – been going here for years. Friendly staff, great quality sushi! Definitely a gem in the burbs!
Absolutely love their sushi! Consistently fresh fish and exquisite rolls. Especially try their tuna tataki roll. We have been their regulars for 5 years.
Tried it again with friends. They really raised the prices. Too expensive for decor and poor service. They ate in need of a wait staff it seems like it’s all family trying to cash in on all aspects of the business. Sushi man is good. Too bad he is surrounded by such lack of talent30 Jan, 2010Great fish. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at. Carpet dirty decor is tired.
