Dirty / grimey place. I heard a lot about this place. Excited to take family. Very disappointing in every aspect; poor service, poor quality of food (captain d’s alot better), very dirty. With the tanks being dirty, very dusty, floors dirty- it makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like.We left feeling like we needed a shower when we walked out of this place.
Called for a reservation…they said they’d take it but would give our table away if they were busy! Isn’t that the point of making a reservation?! We went someplace else .
Fun and Unique Restaurant. Ate here today while eagle watching. We always enjoy the Fin Inn. It is a bit run-down, but where else can you enjoy your own private fish tank full of native river fish while you eat your meal? There were people in the boots next to us with kids and of course the kids loved the fish tanks. I had the broiled catfish and I was very happy with it. The rest of my party had fried catfish and they were happy too. The waitress stopped by frequently and kept our drinks filled. It’s not a high end gourmet restaurant but a good solid lunch and good service.
Worst Service and Food Ever. Went there on a Sunday around 2pm and had a large party (12). We were told our party would have to be split into 2 ok fine however we still waited for an hour while the unorganized hostess tried to figure out the best place to seat us. Then when we finally get seated we cannot talk with the other groupand they still tacked on gratuity even though they split our party, we were all separate checks and were not able to talk during our time there. Now as for the service it was horrible our waitress didn’t come to the table for 10 minutes after we were seated and then when she finally shows up she only wanted to take the drink order. Once we got our drinks we didn’t see her again until the food came out and when we began asking for refills and napkins as the toddler we had at the table spilled their drink she got snippy with us telling us to wait and ask for everything when all the food is out. Once she finally refilled drinks and brought napkins didn’t see her again until the check arrived. Oh and the fish was over cooked and gross. Now for the bus staff and payment, once she took our checks and payments they began clearing the table which was fine we wanted to get out of there as much as they wanted us to leave. However it took 10 more minutes for her to process our payments at which time they tried to seat another party at our table and actually asked us to leave. At that point we began to become rude and sternly said when we get our checks back we will leave. But that’s not all folks when she came back she didn’t bring the change back for the person who paid with cashthat’s right she tried to keep the change as a tip even though it was tacked on and she was the worst waitress I have ever encountered. When asked about it she was totally taken aback and actually asked how much the change should have been instead of going back and looking at the check.
Maybe not spectacular, but generally good – I’ve been there many a time with no complaints.. The fish tanks make for an interesting atmosphere.
Good variety. We drive a long way to eat here occasionally. Every time we dine here it is pretty good…maybe others have hit it on a bad day.
Not worth the stop. The food tastes like diner food – bad fries, bad hot dog, bad cold hushpuppies, and bland Buffalo catfish sandwich. The only thing good about this place is the fish tanks. Don’t waste your money – take your kids to the zoo or a pet shop if you want to show them fish.
