Horrible experience. It was a terrible experience. We set up reservations for 20 of us. When we got ready to order, the wait staff informed us that the manager would not serve us alcohol since we were boating all day. (Annual Boat Trip) We were not intoxicated, and did not get out of line. The sad thing is the waitress told us they made this decision before we even walked in the door. Many of us were not even going to order alcohol. I guess they have too much business to turn down 20 people at $20 a plate. I feel sorry for the wait staff as they lost out on a very large tip. I have been to the Fin Inn many times, now I will never go back. You lost a good paying, awesome tipping customer
Food critic. What an experience. Only every other booth had a light. Since we were the unlucky ones and happened to get one without ANY overhead light you could barely read the menu or see your food or even the table and silverware, which was probably good because I’m sure we would have seen some nasty stuff, given the way other things looked. High chair so sticky and grimy we had to use a wet wipe on it. Had to wait at least 20 minutes AFTER we were seated just to have our order TAKEN ( and they were not that busy) and this happened only when we managed to nab another waitress and tell her no one had come to take our order. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our food, and this was just simple stuff. Try doing all this waiting with a two-year-old and four-year-old. Four-year-old’s grilled cheese came so ‘well done’ that it was black, adult salad was not at all fresh and came with one little tomato wedge and three tiny chicken strips, mashed potatoes on the country-fried steak dinner were the size of a half dollar. If it wasn’t for the fish in the aquariums this place would have no business at all, cause they are all it has going for it.
