We love this place. I have never had anything that wasn’t great. The employees are very attentive and helpful. Everything is always very fresh, and they are quite fast.
This place looks nice, menu looks good. We came here as a last resort, the all you can eat sushi is rice galore, so much rice in every bite. All the tempura pieces get a drop of whatever sauce it comes with. Still it’s all you can eat and boy does it take a lot of sushi to get a flavorful bite. I did enjoy the Mizo soup and house salad is really tasty.
Amazing!. There is no fresher sushi in Gurnee. After multiple visits, with always the same level of quality in their food, their service, and the atmosphere, I can honestly say this is my family’s favorite restaurant, bar none. If we could eat sushi seven days a week, we would, and we would eat it at Toshi. They take genuine pride in what they do, from the wait staff to the hostess to the chefs. I really cannot say enough good things about this place, even if I had hours, a dictionary, and a thesaurus at my disposal. Best to just find this gem, which is kind of hidden behind Golden Corral off Dilleys road, and go in and see for yourself. Pretty sure one meal at this fantastic place will hook you!
Last Minute Decision. We decided to go here as a last minute decision and didn’t regret it. The place was spacious and the staff were friendly and chatty. We didn’t go for sushi as we weren’t in the mood, and opted for a cooked dish. It was very tasty. Then we persuaded ourselves to have a dessert. My wife had the fried banana with red bean ice cream, which was fantastic. I went for the tempora icecream … ice cream fried in batter … it was outstanding. Highly recommended … we will certainly go back.
Wonderful!!. We love Toshi Sushi! The atmosphere is great and the staff very attentive! Their menu is huge! I haven’t tried anything but sushi there but it is so fresh and good that I can only imagine that the other things would be too!
New Sushi Grill in Gurnee. Three of us shared a Rainbow Roll, a Sushi Regular entre, and Tempura Udon. All very fresh and well made. Prices are fair. Staff is very friendly. Large space nicely decorated. Wine and beer are available – – not sure about hard alcohol. Located at the back of a strip mall with other restaurants on the Northeast corner of Dilly’s and Grand. Will go back.
