Well Done Miramar. Beautiful summer day with the doors wide open, french music playing in the background, and waitstaff exceptionally amiable and capable. The food, as always, is consistently delightful. The cappuccino could use a little character and the Matre D could work on his flimsy handshake.

I love Miramar. Consistently great. Food choices all are good. Great service. Only criticism is that they should change specials more frequently. Great for special occasions. They make extra effort.

Quality all around. Made a reservation at 6:30 for 8:15 on a Saturday. Arrived on the button and were seated at a prepared table. We were two adults and three teenagers … We ate special calamari, pates, mussels; then steak frites four ways, plus a duck a l’orange. That followed by apple pie, creme brule, profiteroles, espresso, coffee. Everything uniformly good, flavorful, fresh. The steaks done exactly as ordered. I eat mine as rare as they’ll cook it, and it for sure was. Others had rare, medium-rare and another medium rare. They all were. Kind and considerate service accompanied all. Truly a pleasure. Our bill, including a 20% tip, a Duvel and a glass of wine, came to $50 per head. That for three serious courses of this quality plus and drink or two seems reasonable. Note: the fries are well made shoestrings: lovely if you like that style, which I do, but less so if you want a thicker fry… Great place.

Perfect from the moment you walk in. Taking the train through Highwood every weekday had me fantasizing about all of the great restaurants there. When I was invited to Miramar, I was excited to see how reality stacked up!From my greeting at the door by Gabe Viti himself (who sort of just pops up when a coat needs to be taken off or directions to the ladies room are needed) to the attentiveness by the ENTIRE staff and their knowledge of the product that they are serving (really? My server was able to tell me the DIFFERENCE between three different types of oysters…I think we had the Hama Hama) to the quality of the food. As our server recommended and we accepted, we had an outstanding dinner. As a treat, I would DEFINITELY recommend Miramar.

Fine brunch buffet on Sunday. Guests stroll into the kitchen to order exotic Benedicts and other egg surprises. Great vibe and super bloodies.

Lively (noisy) and consistently great food. Inside after a couple glasses of wine you do feel transported to Paris. Outside, a fine sidewalk cafe in the summer.
